When life hands you lemons, you twirl!
I recently got this beautiful lemon dress as a gift and it speaks words to my part-Italian soul. I felt like my Sicilian grandmother would pop out of no where at any moment and tell me to eat. I even brought out our family stash of authentic Limoncello from Italy to tote around for this shoot. Limoncello is so perfect after a long meal surrounded by family. It’s also super easy to make your own, so I started up a new batch and will post a new blog about it coming up soon (it has to age a little bit, so stay tuned! ).
Oh yes, the dress!
The dress is Limonada by For Love and Lemons. I love their brand, they are sexy, modern, and so feminine.
I really wish I was in Italy right now with this dress, but for now, my simple lonely muscadine vine will do 😉
The best part of the dress is that it’s adjustable. The straps can be fixed to the shoulders or un-hooked so that it falls off your shoulders. Perfect solution for a church wedding calling for covered shoulders, and then just letting it a little loose for the reception.
It runs small. I usually wear a xs to size zero (32 bust) and had to exchange the XS because it is snug, especially around the ribcage. I recommend going a size or two up from your usual, so that you can be a little more comfortable in it.
Shoes are Madden Girl and just lovely. They’re my go-to shoe to show off some leg and bring attention to an outfit. They are currently less than $60.00 with 25% off AND free shipping (woot woot)
As always, thanks for reading! If you haven’t yet, say hi in the comments! Would love to get to know you better 🙂
